It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Voight Monroe Basinger of Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on October 20, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Basinger and Kate Brown Basinger; his former wife June McKenzie Basinger; his siblings, Ferrell Basinger, Arlene Haynes and Carol Edwards; and his stepdaughter Carol Dwiggins.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Morton Basinger; his daughters, Debbie Kimmer, Jill Arrowood (Allen), Angie Misenheimer (Alan) and Dena Misenheimer (Allen); his stepchildren, Paulette Schilke (Robert), Judy Huffman and Roger Freeze; his sister Phyllis Beck; his grandchildren, Lisa Kimmer, Jennifer Kimmer, Chad Yates, Garrett Yates, Hunter Arrowood, Laura Phillips, Rusty Misenheimer, Chase Misenheimer and McKenzie Misenheimer; and his stepgrandchildren, Paul Conner, Cassandra Kluttz, Megan Huffman and Lacey Freeze. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
