Though Sylvia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sylvia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, T. H. Beckom and Jean Beckom; her husband Jerry; her son Chad Brooks; and her sister Vicki McSwain.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Wayne Brooks, Jr. and Alison Joy Woods (Joseph); and her grandchildren, Laurel Brooks, Coriana Woods and Calista Woods. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Rowan Memorial Park (4125 Franklin Comm Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144).
