He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Primus and Dorothy I. Morrison Primus; his siblings, William Primus, James Primus, Mary Primus and Dorothy A. Primus; and his grandson Nathan A. Hunt.

He is survived by: his children, Eric D. Hunt (Cheryl) of Rosharon, Texas, JeVone Primus (Kadee) of Mooresville, NC, Lenual Primus of St. Petersburg, Anita Gore of Hickory, NC and Clarice Milliken of Greensboro, NC.; and his sister Judy Smith of Waynesville, NC.. He is also survived by His 7 grandchildren, and his many nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.
