It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Ray Newton of Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on April 18, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Noah Newton; and his wife Kathy Newton. He is survived by: his daughters, Lorie Lucas of China Grove, NC and Carrie McLain (Micheal) of Salisbury, NC; his granddaughters, Haley Lucas, Madison Goodman, Chole Cress and Rylie Cress; his great grandchildren, Avah Smith and Olivia Smith; and his sister Catherine Woodell.
