He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cook and Ruby Wallace Cook; his brother John Cook; his wife Mary Ann Cook; and his daughter Roxanne Dakin.
He is survived by: his sons, Sam Cook (Stephanie) of Salisbury and Darrell Dakin (Regina) of Cleveland; his grandchildren, Dria, Dalton Dakin, Samuel and Alyssa Cook; and his siblings, Randy Cook (Phyllis) of Asheville and Tracy Cook of Salisbury.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rowan Memorial Park (4125 Franklin Comm Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144).
In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorials to be made to Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary, 220 Grace Church Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147.
