He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Burton Rankin, Sr.; and his brothers, Joseph Rankin (Joe) and Lawrence Rankin. He is survived by: his siblings, Johnny Rankin (Gloria) of Salisbury, Troy Rankin of Salisbury and Gladys Baptiste of Bronx, NY. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
