She was predeceased by: her parent Lena Swicegood Overcash; her husband Howard Eugene Furr Sr.; her daughter Trudy Furr; and her siblings, Johnsie Welch, Thelma Bowers, Eva Beaver, Wade Overcash and Claude Overcash.

She is survived by: her parent John S. Overcash; her children, Howard E. Furr Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale and Lori Smith (Hugh) of Salisbury; her grandchildren, Misty Cruse (Justin) of Salisbury, Derek Furr (Jennifer) of Hendersonville and Katlyn Smith of Salisbury; and her great grandchildren, Lilly Cruse, Jett Cruse, Elijah Furr and Allison Furr.
