She was predeceased by: her parents, James Devaney and Edith Allman Devaney; and her husband James David Riggs. She is survived by: her children, Brooke Alexis Carol Riggs, Bailey Ann Riggs and John Raymond MClain, Jr.; and her siblings, Sylvia Jean Devaney Zents (Brenda), Timothy Wayne Devaney and James Franklin Devaney Jr. (Donna).

A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Granite Quarry Legion Building (300 Legion Street, Granite Quarry, NC 28146).
