He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Ashburn and Bessie Louise Axsom Ashburn; his brother Sammy; and his sister-in-law Connie Ashburn. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Ashburn; his children, Darren Ashburn and Tracy Parrish (Gary); his sisters, Carla Talbert (Wayne) and Marlene Burris (Larry); his grandchildren, Wesley Parrish (Karen), Brittany Sharrock (Matt), Aaron Ashburn and Jarret Ashburn (Britany); his great grandchildren, Isaac Cowley, Erin Sharrock, Colton Sharrock, Maverick Sharrock and Axel Ashburn; and his pet Marley.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home (1420 N Main St, China Grove, NC 28023). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Landmark Church (1910 Mooresville Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147).
