He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Archie; his children, Veronica Davis of Baltimore, Sonya Renee Davis of Baltimore, Christa Pittman of Commerce, GA, Kimberly Renee Sloan of Mooresville, James Calvin Lyles of Maryland, Derrick Lamont Davis of Baltimore, Samuel Curtis Sloan of Salisbury, Gary Dewayne Sloan (Michelle) of Salisbury, Tamika Harris (Tracy) of Mocksville, Tammy Smoot of Mocksville and Grace Joyner of Salisbury; and his siblings, Johnny Cherry (Lisa) of Salisbury, Charles Cherry of East Spencer, Jeffrey Oglesby of Salisbury, Cleotis Trueblood of Salisbury, Sandra Gail Oglesby of Spencer, Jackie Louise Cherry of Salisbury, Kathy Oglesby of Spencer and Karen Oglesby of Salisbury.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kelsey Memorial Chapel - Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home (223 E Fisher St, Salisbury, NC 28144). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
