He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Vertice A. Scotton and Maggie Bell Price; and his siblings, Maggie Scotton Reid, Rev. Vertice A. Scotton, Jr. (Sonny), Amitt Scotton (Bo) and Robert Scotton (Pinto).
He is survived by: his wife Christine of Atlanta, GA; his daughters, Michele Adamo of North Plainfield, NJ, Christina Scotton of Cary, NC and Paulette Morrison-Danner (Dietrich) of Durham, NC; and also Carrie Jane Hicks of Kernersville, NC. He is also survived by three grandchildren; dedicated best friend, "Raymond"; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the New Zion Baptist Church (2785 Dunns Mountain Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Salisbury National Cemetery (501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144).
