It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maude Lee DeGrotte in Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on October 31, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Morrison and Maude Morrison; her son James Reid DeGrotte; her sister Miriam Bryant; and her son-in-law Dr. Barry Moser.
She is survived by: her spouse Birlor Hart DeGrotte; her daughter Janice Applewhite (Gary Applewhite) of Salisbury; her grandchildren, Beverly Moser Rhoden (David Rhoden) of Baton Rouge, LA., Jeff Applewhite Chris (Emily), Carole Moser and Erica Miller (Freddie); her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Applewhite, James Applewhite, Colin Applewhite, Jacob Applewhite, Aiden Miller and Brycen Miller; and her caregiver Tammy Smith.
