He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hines Shackelford "Big Daddy" and Elizabeth Galloway Shackelford "Betty"; and his wife Betty Jane Beale Shackelford. He is survived by: his children, Martin Vann Shackelford and Becky Oliver Walker; and his grandson Joshua Robert Oliver. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
