He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel White Cranfield and Mary Leonard; his wife Juanita G. Cranfield; and his siblings, James Cranfield, Johnny Hinson, Ralph Cranfield and Janie Taylor.
He is survived by: his son Richard "Rick" Cranfield of Salisbury; his granddaughter Jennifer Chambers of Lexington; and his sister Mildred "Shorty" Burkhart of Lexington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
