With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lewis Butterworth of Salisbury, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 16, 2024 at the age of 71. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Butterworth and Luetta Butterworth; his wife Reba Butterworth; his siblings, Thomas, Steve, Percy, Laurel, Kinley, Charlotte, Burtha and Sue; and his children, Michelle Elwell and David Phillips, Jr..

He is survived by: his granddaughter Courtney Marie Phillips; his sister Arlene Beltran; and his daughters, Kimberly Gittle, Kathleen Edenburn, Kisha Pomper and Connie Looper. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
