It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Austin Smith of Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on October 30, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Willard Austin; her husband Alvin Gray Smith; and her sister Martha Jane Sahlstrom. She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Ward (Jeff) of Salisbury, Kelly Kluttz (Charles) of Salisbury, Kimberly McCall (Billy) of Winston-Salem and Rocky Edwards (Roseanne); and her grandchildren, Weston Edwards, Tyler Kluttz (Kaitlyn), Shelby Trexler (Stephen) and Boyd McCall.
