He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Thomen and Florence Basim. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Dorsett Thomen; his children, Gordon Thomen (Cathie) of Fairfield Township, Ohio, Carol Scherer (Shirley Smith) of Brownwood, TX and Juliet Rowell (Franklin) of Irvington, AL; his grandchildren, Freeman Northcutt, Michael Thomen and Carla Erkkinen; and his great grandchildren, Tyler Northcutt, Greigh Northcutt, Zyana Northcutt, Elliot Erkkinen and Henri Erkkinen.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Trading Ford Baptist Church (3600 Long Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lyerly Funeral Home (523 S Main St, Salisbury, NC 28144). A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 4:48 PM at the same location.
