He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Love Hartsell and Hazel Atwell Hartsell; and his daughter Alesia Hartsell. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kurfees Hartsell; his children, Tony Hartsell (Tricia) and Tonya Hughes (Mike); his grandchildren, Lindsea Scalzo, Hillary Hartsell and Chase Hartsell; and his great grandchildren, Clara and Willa Scalzo.
