He was predeceased by: his father Clarence Dixon; his siblings, Clarence Dixon, Jr., Joe Daniel Dixon, W. C. Dixon, J. W. Dixon, Ruby Deese, Oree Rollings, Clara D. Brock and Shirley Austin; his sons, Johnny R. Blackwelder and Robert Blackwelder; and his grandson Justin Dixon.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hathcock Dixon; his children, Michael Dixon (Brenda) of Rockwell and Sherri Kennedy (Alan) of Fayetteville; his sisters, Bonnie Pigg of Kershaw, SC, Carolyn Taylor of Lancaster, SC and Betty Jean Melton of Lancaster, SC; and his grandchildren, Hannah Baker, Travis Dixon, Kadence Kennedy, Savannah Kennedy, Kallen Kennedy, Nikki Leonard, Tiffany Blackwelder and Johnny Blackwelder, Jr.. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
