James LeRoy Freeze Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James LeRoy Freeze Sr. (Salisbury, North Carolina), who passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Noami Albright and Fred Freeze; his wife Magdaline "Mag" Osborne Freeze; and his brothers, Bobby and Billy Freeze.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy L. Freeze Jr. (Carol) of Salisbury and Beverly Melchor (Ricky Hyatt) of Salisbury; his siblings, Dan Freeze of Washington State, Peggy Gordon of Kannapolis and Sylvia Atwell (Earl) of China Grove; his grandchildren, Josh Melchor (Ashley), Jeremy Melchor (Sabrina), Abigail Freeze (Bradley Beck), Hillary Key (Michael) and Hunter Hoffner (Makensie); and his great grandchildren, Makynzie, Tucker, Sawyer Melchor, Peyton, Case Key, Cullen and Dax Hoffner.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Salem Lutheran Church (5080 Sherrills Ford Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Liberty Lane Hospice (C/O: Liberty Lane Hospice, VA Medical Center, 1606 Brenner Ave, Salisbury, NC 28144) or Meals on Wheels of Rowan County (720 Grove St, Salisbury, NC 28144).
