He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Francis Dunbar Grubbs and Ozzie Granville Grubbs; and his siblings, Frank, David Lee, Claudie, Carl, Douglas Grubbs, Mary Nutter, Alma Ames, Wealtha Baldwin and Kay Campbell.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Stone Grubbs; his son Jeffrey Grubbs (Victoria); his sisters, Brenda Facemyer and Dorothy Kelly; and his grandsons, Benjamin Grubbs and Cameron Grubbs.
