He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Welch and Hazel Wagner Welch; and his wife Shirley Welch. He is survived by: his children, Paul Welch (Elaine), Scott McBride (Crissy) of Salisbury, NC and Denise Neigel (Jeff); his sisters, Pat Allen (Frank) and Terry Welch (Tom Wilson); and his grandchildren, Allison, Karlie Ann, Lyndsy and Michael.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Powles Staton Funeral Home (913 W Main St, Rockwell, NC 28138). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
