He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy M. Hutchins and Harold R. Hutchins; his daughter Ashley Grayanna Hutchins; his brother Dr. Robert H. Hutchins; and his parents-in-law, Jean B. Huneycutt and C. Spurgeon Huneycutt.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah H. Hutchins of Salisbury; his son Charles Taylor Hutchins (Pamela) of Salisbury; his siblings, Randy Hutchins (Tracey) of Kernersville, Bonnie Hill (Tom) of Gold Hill and Patty H. Wirtel of Kentucky; and his sister-in-law Seldie P. Hutchins of Wilmington. He is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (200 W Innes St, Salisbury, NC 28144).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to Lyerly Evangelical Church (1320 Crescent Rd, Rockwell, NC 28138), St. Johns Lutheran Church, or Piedmont Players Theater (213 S Main St, Salisbury, NC 28144).
