She is survived by: her mother Susan Swanson Nelson of Virginia; her boyfriend James "Jim" Hunter; her son Nate Latta; her daughter-in-law Sara; her grandchildren, Nate Jr. "Bubba", Kevin Jr. and Madeline; and her siblings, Carl Nelson, Tammy Cogar and Tracy Hanes Urfer.
