He is survived by: his children, Allison Walters Merriman (Jim) of Charlotte, Jocelyn Marie Walters of Black Mountain and Kress Robertson Walters of Charlotte; and his grandsons, Spencer Robertson Hayes of Asheville, NC, Jackson David Hayes of Asheville, NC and Abby.
