It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jones McNeely (Salisbury, North Carolina), who passed away on August 12, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert McNeely and Anna Louise Watts; and her brothers, Dean Caldwell, Derrick McNeely and Antwan McNeely.
She is survived by: her husband Charlie McNeely; her children, Barry Hawkins (Barbara) of Salisbury, Karen Caviness (Gary) of Julian, NC, Melanie Kirkland of Spartanburg, SC, Terri Hawkins of Hollywood, FL, Michael Hawkins of Thomasville, Michelle Phifer (Kenny) of Spartanburg, SC, Kimberly Harrington (Sharif) of Kernersville and Kenneth McNeely (Monica) of Indian Land, SC; her siblings, Fred Watts of Baltimore, MD, Christine Watts of Baltimore, MD, Joe McNeely of San Antonio, TX, Hubert (Buck), Sherrie McNeely of Atlanta, Mitchell McNeely of Washington, DC, Bradley McNeely of Dumfries, VA and Sharon McNeely of Washington, DC; and also Derrick Hawkins (Roshonda). She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
