She was predeceased by: her father Ralph Eugene; and her husband John Henry Barringer. She is survived by: her children, John Michael Barringer (Terrie) of Prince Frederick, MD and Kay Simmons (Phil) of Salisbury; her granddaughters, Courtney Lassiter (Ran) of Salisbury and Carleigh Wetmore (Daniel) of Granite Quarry; her great grandchild Layla Wetmore; and her sisters, Shirley Barbee of Salisbury and Nancy Misenheimer (Jim) of Kannapolis. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Scholarship Fund, 9275 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
