She was predeceased by: her parents, James Drake and Elmina Smith Drake; her husband Jesse Mae Burgess; and her sister Jeanette Drake Adams. She is survived by: her children, Jesse Martin Burgess (Tajon "Tater") of Salisbury and Andrea Ann Burgess (Robert "Dale" Lambert) of Salisbury; her grandchildren, William "Wil" R. Taylor, Jr. (Brooke) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Andrew "Drew" Drake Taylor (Juvi) of Salisbury and Jessica Brooke Olson (Adric) of Durham; her great grandchildren, Bennett James Olson, Ensley and Caelan Edison; and her pet D. W.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
