It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Crumpler of Salemburg, North Carolina, who passed away on February 15, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Brookie Tew Strickland; her stepmother Betty Ann Fisher Strickland; her parents-in-law, Junior and Iceleane Naylor Crumpler; and her brother-in-law Danny Crumpler.
She is survived by: her husband Nelson Crumpler; her father Charles Nixon Strickland; her son Bryan Nixon Strickland (Brooke); her grandchildren, Bentley Nixon Strickland and Brody Nelson Strickland; her brother-in-law Ronald Crumpler (Patsy); her niece Lisa Smith (DeWayne); her nephews, Eric Crumpler and Ashley Crumpler; her great-nephew Adam Capps (Emily); her great-niece Jordan Smith; her siblings, Wade Nixon Strickland and Renee Strickland; and her stepbrothers, Bobby Hartley, Donnie Hartley (Terrie) and Chris Hartley (Michelle). She is also survived by five aunts and two uncles; and numerous cousins.
