He is survived by : his children, Hillery B. Honeycutt Jr. (Nina) of Raleigh, Wayne Honeycutt (Melody) of Charlotte and Wendy Summerlin (Stephen) of Overland Park, Kansas; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Metcalfe (Tyler), Madison Cratch (Robert), Ashley Terrazas (Mauricio), Eric Honeycutt (Jody), John Lee Summerlin, Ike Summerlin and Nelda Summerlin; his great grandchildren, Otis Metcalfe, Lucy, Carson, Luke Cratch, Maggie and Daniel Terrazas; and his siblings, Glerand Honeycutt of Salemburg and Elizabeth Faye Harris of Thibodaux, Louisiana. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Butler Funeral Home (401 W Roseboro St, Roseboro, NC 28382). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
