He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Ernest and Neva Godwin Barefoot; his siblings, Noah Barefoot, Flora B. Autry and Theresia "Cassie" Barefoot; his stepdaughter Robin Willard; and his grandson Charlie Jason "C. J." Barefoot, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Janice Lucas Barefoot; his children, Charlie Jason Barefoot (Shannon) and Tracey Barefoot Jackson (Michael); his stepchildren, Danny Lucas (Kristy), Kelly Lucas (Amy) and Gerald Fisher (Renee); his grandchildren, Hailey Nicole Barefoot, David Hall, Bailey Jackson, Brayden Jackson, Madison Fisher, Raven Willard, Zachary Lucas, Allison Lucas, Kayla Lucas, Jackson Lucas and Julian Lucas; and his sister Mary Autry.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Skinner & Smith Funeral Home (905 Erwin Rd, Dunn, NC 28334). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mingo Baptist Church (1465 Mingo Church Rd, Dunn, NC 28334).
