He was predeceased by: his parents, Robbie Lee and Glendon Butler Cooper; and his brother Donald Lee Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Shirley McLamb Cooper; his children, Stephanie C. Shelton of Fayetteville, Dr. Richard G. Cooper of Valdosta, GA and Douglas L. Cooper of Salemburg; his siblings, Jean C. Holland of Wilson and Max T. Cooper (Faye) of Salemburg; his grandchildren, Kyle (Darcy), Haley Cooper (Jason), JD, Andrew Cooper, Hannah Cooper and Gracie Cooper; and his great grandchildren, Ava Cooper, Sadie Cooper, Saylor McGuirt and Marin McGuirt.
