She was predeceased by: her parents, T. G. Hurtt and Bernice Hurtt; her sister Jean Davis; and her grandson Stuart Smith. She is survived by: her husband Graham Smith; her children, Walter Graham Smith Jr., Judith "Judy" Smith (Mallard "Mal" Owen) and Steven "Stevie" Smith; her brother Tatnall Hurtt (Bonnie); her grandsons, Seth Smith (Lightning) and Joshua Smith (Tasmon); and her great grandchildren, Easton, Stratton and Sayda Smith. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the "Tolarsville Baptist Church Cemetery Fund", and mailed to Tolarsville Baptist Church, PO Box 558, St. Pauls, NC 28384.
