He was predeceased by: his parents, Allie Elizabeth Davis McDuffie and Roscoe, Sr. McDuffie; his stepmother Dora Retha McDuffie; and his sister Sarah Catherine McDuffie Smith. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly McDuffie Kelley (Paul) and Tracy McDuffie; his grandchildren, Kayla and Arlie Kelley; and his siblings, Lena McDuffie Horne of St. Pauls, Glenda McDuffie Johnson (Harold) of St. Pauls, Judy Smithson of Okmulgee, OK, Howard McDuffie (Irene) of St. Pauls, Wayne McDuffie (Cathy) of St. Pauls, Richard McDuffie (Dorothy) of Red Springs, Kenneth McDuffie (Betty) of Lexington and James Beard of St. Pauls. He is also survived by 11 nieces and 7 nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Gibson Cancer Center, 1200 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, NC 28358 or UNC Cancer Research, UNC Lineberger, PO Box 1050, Chapel Hill, NC 27514 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in lieu of flowers.
