It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ronald Earl Burney of Saint Pauls, North Carolina, who passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Earl Burney and Stella Mae Parker; and his nephew Michael Burney. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Rose Sentoro Burney; his daughter Wendy Elizabeth Harkness (Gregory Curtis Harkness); his grandson Alexander Rose Harkness; his daughter Heather Genine Pruitt; his siblings, Sandy Burney and Derek Burney; his nephew Terry Burney; and his niece Stephanie Burney. He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the West Lumberton Baptist Church (2320 W 5th St, Lumberton, NC 28358). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
