She was predeceased by: her parents, James Massey McDuffie and Edith Howard McDuffie of Saint Pauls; her husband James Fontaine Allen; her siblings, June McDuffie Peacock, Alton Crawford Parker and William Otha Parker; and her niece Janet Atherton Raab.
She is survived by: her sons, James F. Allen, Jr. (Timothy E. Locklear) of Wake Forest, N. C. and John L. Allen (Shannon Guffey) of Nazareth, Pennsylvania.; her nieces, Beth Bunce of Fayetteville, N. C., Nancy Parker of Fayetteville, N. C. and Ann Parker of Fayetteville, N. C.; her great-niece Emily Gray Small of Asheville, N. C.; her caregivers, Maggie Blake and Ron Fulton of Raleigh, N. C.; and her pet Abby.
