He was predeceased by: his parents, John Oliver Hunt and Catherine K. Hunt; his stepmother Margie Hunt; and his siblings, John Hess, Jr. and Joyce Hess.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa K. Hunt; his children, Daran D. Hunt, Jr. of Lumberton, Christopher L. Hunt, Sr., Amanda A. Wilkins of St. Pauls and Lisa M. Hunt; and his siblings, Don O. Hunt of St. Pauls, Leon Hunt, Sr. of St. Pauls, Velton B. Hunt of St. Pauls, John O. Hunt, Jr. of Tar Heel, Chuck Hess of Tarboro, Mary A. Hess of Fuquay Varina, Lillie Hess of Garner, Polly Peterson of Stedman, Sara Hunt of Stedman and Merlene Oxendine of Tar Heel. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McNeill Legacy Funeral Home (319 W Broad St, St Pauls, NC 28384). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the Oak Ridge Cemetery (1019 W Broad St, St Pauls, NC 28384).
