It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charity Ann Caines of Saint Pauls, North Carolina, who passed away on May 17, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Furnie Melton Allen, Sr. and Margie Jackson Allen; her husband William Clyde Caines; her son Timothy Smith; and her brother Furnie Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Smith (Marie Dowdy) of Summerville, SC, Samuel "Sammy" Smith (Linda) of St. Pauls, Richard Caines of Kansas City, Missouri, Rebecca Caines of Winston Salem and Michelle Caines of Tennessee; her sister Brenda Gray of St. Pauls; her close friend Cynthia Smith of St. Pauls; and her grandchildren, Allen Smith, Jonathan Smith, Allie Smith and Sheena Reaves.
