Betty Penfield Townsend Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 31, 2022, at the age of 83, Betty Penfield Townsend of Saint Pauls, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Penfield and Lottie Pittman Penfield; her husband William "Bill" Townsend; her stepdaughter Jennie Revels; and her siblings, Marshall Penfield, Bessie Manuel, Annie Ruth Drukenbrod and Mildred Singletary.
She is survived by: her children, Glenda Monroe, Tommy Muse (Tina) of Louisburg, Scott Muse of St. Pauls and Robbie Muse (Patrice) of Diamondhead, MS; her stepsons, William Townsend, Jr. of Shallotte and Phillip Townsend (Sandy) of Summerville, SC; and her sister Mable Beard of Lumberton.
In lieu of flowers, family request contributions to be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
