He is survived by: his children, Jami Moore of Tar Heel and Marinda Moore Avera (Thomas) of Southern Pines; his siblings, Nancy Hinshaw of Greensboro, Dianne Woodell of Tar Heel and Lynn Moore of Dublin; his grandchildren, Allen-Michael Avera and Anna Avera Kiggins; and his great grandchildren, Noah and Lilly Kiggins.
