He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Ezell Taylor, Sr. and Marjorie Lee Davis Taylor; and his siblings, Annette Fisher and Roger Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Jean Taylor; his children, Jeffery Alan Taylor (Keith Carlson) of Inman, SC, Diane Silva (Sergio) of Leesville, SC and Renee McCartha (Mike Goodwin) of Lexington, SC; his siblings, Dorothy Scott of Rutherfordton, Donna Hudson (Del) of Mooresboro, Sam Ezell Taylor, Jr. (Janice) of Bostic and Michael Taylor (Sherry) of Morganton; his grandchildren, Brittani McCartha, Russell Bell, Jr., Lynn McCartha IV, Taylor McCartha and Lael Silva; and his great grandchild Zayda Bayless.
