It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Higgins (Rutherfordton, North Carolina), who passed away on May 13, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Higgins and Ethel H. Higgins; and his siblings, Forrest Higgins, Harlan Higgins and Gayle Bailey.

He is survived by: his wife Shelia Woody Higgins; his children, Brandon Higgins (Lisa) of Rutherfordton and Brooke McCraw (Thomas) of Ellenboro; his siblings, Francis Higgins of Indiana, Clint Higgins of Forest City, Rose Jackson of Mills River, NC and Lillian Womack of Burnsville, NC.; and his grandchildren, C. J. Higgins, Lucas Harris and Reese McCraw.

The family request memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans, 890 Withrow Road, Spindale, North Carolina 28160.
