He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Shults, Sr. and Mary Louise Melton Shults; his wife Wilda Jo Harris Shults; and his siblings, Mary Louise Shults, Bobby Jones, John Melton Jones and Wayne Yount.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Ann Lewis of Rutherfordton and David Dewayne Shults of Rutherfordton; his grandchildren, Kevin Kuo-Choi Liang (Monica), Anthony James Liang-Drost, Autumn Drost and Amberly Rose Irene Drost; his great grandchildren, Samantha Jade Liang, Kai Liang and Freya Keeter; and his siblings, William Shults, Judd Jones, Christene Yount, Helen Ellenburg, Ellen Hoyle, Joann Hendrix and Barbara Jean Greene.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Morningstar Baptist Church (263 Morningstar Lake Rd, Forest City, NC 28043). A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
