It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Cochran (Rutherfordton, North Carolina), who passed away on July 5, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rucker W. Dalton and Dolly Liverette Dalton; her sons, Dennis Ray Cochran and Guy Edward Cochran; her siblings, Nadene Lawson, William Dalton, Frank Dalton and Eugene Dalton; and her half-siblings, Lilly Sism, Pearl Wright, Marie Jackson and Ed Dalton.
She is survived by: her husband Johnny William Cochran; and her children, Phyllis Coffey (Terry) of Ellenboro, Brenda Hoyle (William) of Bostic, Elizabeth Boone (Robert) of Rutherfordton, Jan Hicks of Rutherfordton and Johnny Lee Cochran (Beth) of Rutherfordton. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
