With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Bessette (Rutherfordton, North Carolina), born in Chateaugay, New York, who passed away on May 30, 2018 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Nelson Bessette; his siblings, Beatrice Boyer, Kathleen Levesque, Gloria Favaro and Erwin Bessette; and his brother-in-law Clifford Steenberge.
He is survived by: his parents, Nelson Bessette and Jane Roland Bessette; his spouse Barbara Sears Bessette; his son Thomas Bessette, Jr.; his wife Laurie of Torrington; his daughters, Susan Dezeiez (Timmy) of Torrington, CT and Patricia Breakell (Clyde) of Goshen; and his sisters, Ruth Kubay of Newington and Mary Steenberge of Malone. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
