He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward and Thelma J Allen Melton; his brother Tim Melton; and his pet Daisy Mae. He is survived by: his wife Betty Greene Melton; his children, Tonya Dianne Gordon, Chucky Lee Melton, Aaron Thomas Melton and Joseph Daniel Melton; and his siblings, Randall Melton, Marshall Melton, Larry Melton and Delane Cleveland. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren.
