She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Oscar Johnson Sr. and Clarice Mills Johnson; her husband George Lafoy Scruggs; her son Rocky Lane Scruggs; her son-in-law Lynn McSwain "Wheatie"; and her siblings, Cecelia Price, Betty Yelton, Jean Thompson and Junior Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer McSwain; her grandchildren, Matthew Scruggs, Kellie Scruggs and Zack McSwain; her great grandchildren, Anna Thompson, Noah Thompson, Tristan Thompson, Makayla Thompson and Jessie Scruggs; and her sisters, Mary Toms, Retha Goforth and Wanda Butler (Steve). She is also survived by nieces nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the church.
