With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Gaynelle Stepp Hutchins (Rutherfordton, North Carolina), who passed away on April 6, 2018 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Charles Homer Moore; her husband Perry Hutchins; her brother Bobby Stepp; her stepfather Plato Stepp; and her grandson Darmey Langley.
She is survived by: her parent Hazel Lena Ward Stepp; her children, Martha Gordon (Steve) of Bakersville, Cindy Heatherly (Buck) of Flat Rock, Theresa Barnette of Rutherfordton, Roger Barnette (Suzanne) of Hendersonville and Heath Maybin (Melissa) of Rutherfordton; her stepchildren, Valerie Lail (Tim) of Ellenboro and Robbie Hutchins (Jennifer) of Mauldin; and her siblings, Donald Morris (Linda) of Greer, SC, Phillip Morris of Hendersonville and Peggy Conner (Mike) of Hendersonville. She is also survived by grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
