He was predeceased by: his parents, Houston Smith and Freeda Stringer Smith; his sister Norma Faye; and his father-in-law Dempsey Haraway. He is survived by: his wife Joan Haraway Smith; his sons, Jeffrey Bryan Smith and Michael Anthony Smith; his brother Larry Douglas Smith; his grandson Dylan Smith; his daughter-in-law Kim Smith; and his mother-in-law Exie Haraway.
