He was predeceased by: his parent Reverend Morris J. Byers. He is survived by: his parent Frances Tate Byers; his spouse Emily Conner Byers; his sons, Clinton Edward Byers (Kerry) of Boone, NC and Garrett Russell Byers of Ellenboro; his siblings, Sybil Wells (Jim) of Caroleen, Claudia Byers of Forest City and Reverend Roy Tate Byers (Janis) of Shelby, NC; his grandsons, Roan Farrell Byers and Conner James Byers; his uncle Garland Byers (Helen) of Forest City; and his aunt Lucille Roberson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
